Second Sunday in January

This morning we woke up to a cold, but quiet Sunday morning. We have snow on the ground, and it looks like it won't be melting for some time. Yesterday I finally took a shovel and dug out the recycle garbage can. It was in the snow and getting stuff to it was slippery. I had hoped the sun would take care of the task, but the clouds and smog have held the sun at bay.

Yesterday we enjoyed a quiet time together. Christine was back at work on her school work and I spent the time running errands, cleaning the house, and watching football. Marsey came by with Maddie and Cameron and we all enjoyed spending some time with them. Maddie loves to draw on the white board (as does Cameron), and type love notes on the computer. Cameron went straight to work playing with the Geotrax trains, after I set up the biggest, most fantastic, set up possible, for him. After play, Cameron enjoyed a bowl of Cocoa Puffs, his favorite chocolate cereal. Then I sent them on their way home, each with a dinosaur shaped peanut butter and marshmallow cream sandwich (known as a Fluffernutter). Yumm....

After that, well it was back to football for me, and school work for Christine....

  2. I was just telling Leana today how much I loved peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches. It's probably been fifteen years or more since I had one.
